Organic Matta Rice Flakes – 300gms

Organic Matta Rice Flakes or Flattened rice (also called beaten rice) is rice which is flattened into flat light dry flakes. These flakes of rice swell when added to liquid, whether hot or cold, as they absorb water, milk or any other liquids. Flattened rice is in a way, a convenience food and very similar to bread in usage. It can be served for breakfast and is normally used to prepare snacks or light and easy fast food in a variety of Indian cuisine styles.

Our rice flakes are made from Organic Matta rice (Rosematta rice, Palakkadan Matta rice, Kerala Red rice or Red parboiled rice) (Malayalam: കേരള മട്ട) is an indigenous variety of rice grown in our farms at Palakkad District of Kerala.
