Our Organic Matta Rice
Grown in selected matta rice farms , this rice is wholesome and most healthy. With 75% bran intact these grains offer the best nutrition in natural form. With its natural color and flavor this special matta rice is a treat for eyes and tongue.
When cooked, the natural red color in the bran or hull of the rice, leaches out and dyes the rest of the dish red to pink. This rice is high in fiber because of the bran and the flavor is much stronger than that of hulled rice, tasting more nutty and full. This Rice is ideal for Heart and Diabetic Patients as it has glucose and cholesterol lowering capacity.
Cooking Matta Rice:
Add one cup rice to three cups water in a pressure cooker. Boil till 6-7 steams or whistles and allow it to cool. Matta Rice is ready to be served.
